New dates of entrance in force of the tacógrafo digital of second generation

The Commission of Transport and Tourism has confirmed the dates of entrance in force of the tacógrafo intelligent of second generation, an information that the transport of commodities by road spent time expecting since it affects to the carriers that bought a vehicle the past summer and that, because of the fault of available devices in the market, could not fulfil with the European rule in this regard.
Lnew ace dates of entrance in force of the tacógrafo intelligent of second generation are the following:
- New vehicles: from 21 August 2023. It allowed expand this term until 31 December 2023
- Vehicles that do international transport or have tacógrafo analog or digital: from 31 December 2024
- Vehicles that do international transport and have a tacógrafo intelligent of first generation: from 19 August 2025
- Vehicles from among 2,5 and 3,5 tonnes of MMA that do international transport: From 1 July 2026. The vehicles that do transport of own commodities are exentos, as well as the attendants to drive them do not have the driving like main function in the company
New normative requirements of the tacógrafo intelligent of second generation version 2
We remember you that the tacógrafos intelligent of second generation have had to adapt to the European rule creating a second version (V2),so that they incorporate the new requirements, such as:
Automatic register of the crossing of borders.
Register of the positions in operations of load and download.
New incidents or data to exchange with the authority of control through the system of early Teledetection of possible manipulations or undue uses.
Interface with systems of intelligent transport.
France in relation to the tacógrafo intelligent of second generation V2
In France, approved exceptional transitory disposals for the registration of new vehicles instrumented with tacógrafos intelligent of second generation version 1. For this, added a measure, of temporary exception, that allows to the heavy vehicles with a certificate of provisional registration of type WW, valid and established to more take on 20 August 2023, circulate loaded to the protect of this certificate of provisional registration.
